HERITAGE MUSEUM COLLABORATION
I was fortunate to act as the client representative on the last seven months of a HLF museum project at a country house in Northamptonshire.
Working with a team with of historians - DBA consulting, and graphic designers - G+Studio amongst others, I was involved in everything from interpretation, set design, set dressing and prop making along with managing the project deadlines at the Hall.
It was here I learnt that as humans, we connect with people, past and present. By creating a narrative along with an 'experience', a present memory and past connections feel stronger and more emotional. Knowing how people used these structures we inhabit connects you to a building far more than just viewing the bricks and mortar. It is the way we lived and survived in the past that makes history so intriguing.
